Government starts to implement next steps in the field of economics, which will become an essential pillar for its recovery. Yesterday, The President of the Republic have described the first measures that the Parliament has long worked for by monitoring the situation on the island.
Anastasiades virtually said that the priority of the government will be the development of natural gas and the creation of its terminals liquefaction (LNG) across the whole island. At the moment, the program has already been established with specific proposals on the management of energy policy, which covers 15 years. This program will allow Cyprus to become an important European center for the production of liquefied gas.
In addition, the President also spoke about other plans on rescuing the economy. Some examples:
- Creation of 10,000 job places in order to combat unemployment. This will create an incentive for employers and opportunities for graduates.
- Construction and tourism development, tackling problems with bureaucracy.
- Installation of solar energy systems in homes and offices.
- Creation of a casino similar to "Resort".
- Extending the tourist season.
- Fund of State Property Management.
