Cyprus Association of Patients with Cerebral Palsy and Disabled Children in Nicosia called for help after the robbery of its center which occurred for the second time this year. Burglary took place between 22nd and 26th of March.
Center offers children with cerebral palsy variety of professional services, helping them to gradually become independent and self-sufficient, as far as it is possible with their capabilities.
List of things which that stolen includes: money from the safe, which were usually used for association's immediate needs, video camera, photo-camera, TV and a projector.
Organizers described this theft as sacrilegious. "Robbery has occurred at the time when center was faced with serious economic problems, which could lead to its closure after 30 years of work", as it was said in the statement.
